How Is Mustache Transplantation Performed? Mustache transplantation is performed to obtain permanent results and to obtain a more natural appearance. To collect the necessary hair follicles correctly, the donor area must be selected well. Collected grafts are usually determined to be behind the ear or above the ear. Mustache transplantation is performed together with the FUE method. It is performed under local anesthesia. Processing time varies between 3-5 hours. After local anesthesia, hair follicles are collected. Hair follicles are transferred with 0.6-0.7 mm punches.
